Overview:
There is an external staircase at the back of the house from the parking lot that leads to Unit C - the Swamp Rabbit Retreat, for a private and secluded get-away feel. The unit is an updated 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with 850 sqft of living space. The history of the home is evident in the fireplace in the bedroom, which would have been used to heat the individual rooms when the house was built before centralized HVAC, and in the unevenness of the floors that is typical of an older home. It helps create character and charm!
Virtual Tour: Please see the pictures below for a room-by-room virtual walk-through of the unit starting with the approach to the entryway.
External Stairs Entering the Living Room

The back stairs lead up to Unit C conveniently from the back parking lot. The living room is cozy and windows look south. The bedroom is off of the living room, as well as the hallway area with the laundry and flex space. The floors in parts of the living room are uneven, as a reminder of the home's long history and character.
Bedroom

The bedroom is spacious with three large windows to let light in. The original fireplace (deactivated for safety reasons) gives the room some historic charm. There is a compact closet, and the bedroom allows plenty of room for a dresser/armoire.
Large Hall with Laundry and Flex Space

The central hallway in the apartment has the laundry with built in cabinets. There is a thin cabinet on the left for laundry supplies, and then there are two larger cabinets for general storage. On the other side of the hallway area is a bonus/flex space. The flex space could be used for a desk and chair, or as a reading nook or storage space. The unevenness of the floor is noticeable in the hallway, which makes the washer and dryer a little uneven with each other. But, they have each been leveled individually, and they are on vibration isolators to minimize wobble and noise.
Bathroom

Off of the hallway is the bathroom, with a modern vanity and matching black towel bars, faucet, and vanity light.
Kitchen

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and new granite countertops. There's a new dishwasher, garbage disposal, and built-in microwave over the range. There is ample countertop space and storage space, with a hobbit-door pantry. There are five windows in the kitchen on two sides that face south and west to let in natural light. There is room for a small table, making it an eat-in kitchen, and the tall tree just outside two of the windows makes the space feel like a treehouse.
